Coroneagh Park

Provided by Respect Aged Care

About

Coroneagh Park is a 78 bed facility nestled in the heart of the quiet seaside town of Penguin.  It offers the luxury of wide open spaces, in addition to the peace and tranquillity that comes with living in a serene and relaxing environment.  The home is based on an open plan design, with large corridors and glass that open up to a small courtyard.  All areas are modernised with a homely feel, from quiet areas to common areas to congregate.

Penguin is renowned for its cafes and pristine surroundings and is only 20 minutes from the cities of Devonport and Burnie.

Provided Services

With attention to the complete health and wellbeing of our residents, the services we offer combine specialist care with quality of life. Beyond our standard care offerings, further services accommodate specific needs of residents.

Dedicated specialists like physiotherapists, podiatrists and optometrists are available upon request and make frequent visits. External providers offer services like hearing and musical therapy with an audiologist visiting regularly. Beauty therapists and hairdressers come in weekly and are available by appointment.

Food & Diet

A resident chef ensures that healthy and balanced meal choices are always available and of the highest standard. Meetings are regularly held with residents where feedback sheets are distributed in order to meet their individual needs.

Meals consist of traditional fare, while attempting to offer as much variety as possible. The menu is rotated seasonally and fresh food arrives throughout the week.

Activities & Excursions

Social care programs encourage and facilitate daily activities, organising a variety of games and group activities each day of the week. Residents are asked what they’d like to do at bi-monthly meetings. Organised bus trips allow residents to leave the home and go to lunch or shop as a group. Overnight trips or holidays with family members are also encouraged where possible. Residents as well as visitors are welcome to come and go as they please. Regular visits with a Registered Music Therapist are also organised for the enjoyment of our residents.
