We help people like you all day every day!
Many Australians struggle with the decision to place a loved one in an aged care facility. It can be both complicated and confusing and decisions made in haste can often have unanticipated longer term consequences. We take the time to listen to your individual situation and explain the alternatives available to you.
RFS Aged Care is based right here on the Gold Coast and is one of the few Queensland businesses that specialises in advice for people entering Aged Care Residences. We understand it can be a confusing and stressful time and we will walk you or your representative through the whole process including the selection of a residence, completion of the (extensive) documentation and negotiation of any fees.
Additionally we will provide a strategy that where possible, minimises the cost to the resident’s estate, while achieving the desired levels of comfort and security.
We know that the preferred result for everyone is to stay in their own home but when that isn’t an option, let us help us find you a new one.
Most initial consultations are complementary. If you and your consultant believe you would benefit from more expansive advice, additional fees would be dependent on the complexity of the advice and the services required. These would be discussed with you at the conclusion of the appointment and fully documented.

One of the greatest gifts you can give to your loved ones is a professionally prepared Will that clearly and precisely states your wishes upon your passing. By having a legally prepared Will, it could also reduce the likelihood of any estate disputes or a person challenging your Will. It can save tremendous anxiety and conflicts within your family and loved ones at a difficult time.
A Will prepared by the Turner Freeman Lawyers Wills, Estates & Trust department provides you and your family professional and genuine security. We can help you with effective succession planning to ensure your assets are protected and distributed to the right people according to your exact wishes. Under a Will, the legally appointed executor will look after your estate and will ensure that all your assets are collected, your liabilities and debts are paid and your estate is distributed in accordance with your Will after your passing.
We can assist you by:
Preparing a legal Will
Preparing Powers of Attorney – Enduring Powers of Attorney, General Powers of Attorney
Advance Health Directives
Estate Administration
Estate Litigation if you want to contest, challenge or dispute a Will or if you are an Executor of a Will and the Will is being contested, challenged or disputed
Our solicitors in our Wills, Estates & Trusts department at Turner Freeman Lawyers have many years of experience in preparing Wills, helping clients with Estate Administration, appointing Powers of Attorney, contesting/challenging Wills and defending Estates against frivolous claims or challenges.
Our clients appreciate our "hands on" and sensitive approach at an especially difficult time when they have lost a loved one.
We always strive to do the best for our clients to ensure that their wishes are adhered to. We also aim to get the best possible outcome for our clients if they have been unfairly left out of a Will. We Specialise in Aged Care adviceMaking the decision to enter aged care can be a very emotional one and once needed, people often find the complexity of aged care overwhelming. Having to make the difficult decisions during such a stressful and emotional time can adversely affect the person entering care over the long term.
Our Accredited Aged Care Professionals™, can help you determine the costs applicable to your chosen facility, the impact on Centrelink entitlements, options for the family home, and cash flow strategies to ensure living needs will be met.
Individual circumstances will influence Aged Care fees and strategies. It is important any advice obtained is specific to the person entering care, prior to a decision being made.
