Just two doors down from our Freshwater Bay Aged Care Home on Palmerston Street, in the beautiful suburb of Mosman Park, you’ll find a comfortable home with a warm, welcoming atmosphere in Mosman Park.  

As a home, our dedicated team and residents often come together to celebrate birthdays, have barbecues and enjoy a weekly cooked breakfast. Our location between the river and coast offers plenty of options for outings, with parks, cafés and boutique shopping all just a short drive away. 

The multi-disciplinary team at Mosman Park won a Better Practice Award in 2014 for resident lifestyle, and in 2017 for reducing risperidone use in dementia, implementing this practice after changing most of the medication strategies administered to residents with challenging behaviours. The use of chemical restraints as a whole is low, as we believe when residents enter aged care, it’s not the end of their journey. In some cases, residents have been discharged back into the community following actions implemented around their lifestyle which would have been impossible had they remained in hospital, for example.

At Mosman Park, we feel privileged to be entrusted with providing whole-of-person health and care for older people living with a wide range of complex health issues. We strive daily to provide care that enables our residents to live their life to the maximum extent feasible, to exercise choice and decision-making, and to maximise quality of life and wellbeing.
