Italo-Australian Welfare & Cultural Centre Inc (Emergency Relief Program for the Needy)

The Italo-Australian Welfare & Cultural Centre Inc has been a peak Organisation in the Italian Community since its inception in 1956, and over the years it has helped many thousands of people through its charitable fundraising events and through the many educational, welfare and cultural programs and social activities which are offered for the benefit of both the Italian and Australian Communities.

Funded by the Department of Social Services, the main objective of its Emergency Relief Program for the Needy is to assist people in addressing their immediate needs in times of financial crisis. Priority services focus on:

• Assessment of the financial needs of consumers;
• Provision of basic budgeting assistance;
• Referrals of consumers to other sources and services of support and assistance.
