Whether it be heading out for lunch at one of the local clubs or visiting the beach for some refreshing sea air, our regular bus outings are thoroughly enjoyed by our residents. Bus outings are provided by Hardi Aged Care’s dedicated bus and driver.Warringah Mall, restaurants, and scenic points of interest are close by, offering great options for family and loved ones to take residents out. Alternatively, we have beautiful indoor and outdoor lounge areas where visitors are always welcome.A bus stop located only meters from the front entrance makes visiting Hardi Manly Vale easy. Cooinda has been an important community asset for Lithgow since 1968. The home has seen various additions and upgrades over the past 50 years and the recent addition of a brand new 36 bed wing signals the exciting next stage of development for Cooinda.Overview Cooinda opened its doors in 1968 as a 25 bed hostel called Cooinda Aged People’s Homes. Nearby Tanderra was officially opened in March 1991 and the 40 bed facility was soon at capacity. Eight beds were added in 2001 bringing the total to 48 care beds. Cooinda underwent a major re-fit in 2004 adding ensuites to all rooms and two new wings of 12 beds each. In 2019 building began on Stage 1 of the new development with the new lodge to accommodate 36 new ensuite rooms with state of the art facilities. Room Options 84 Rooms, all single with private ensuites. 12 bed secure dementia wing. Team Structure Our team consists of clinical staff and specialists, including registered nurses and personal care assistants available on-call, 24-hours a day. A leisure and lifestyle officer arranges activities and therapy. Team members are passionate, caring and friendly and go above and beyond to build a genuine rapport with residents and their family members. An older style building with recent refurbishments, Hardi Seven Hills is one of our larger facilities and accommodates over 100 residents in a combination of single and companion rooms.A modern outdoor terrace area is the perfect place for morning tea, while the panoramic views as far as the Blue Mountains provide the perfect backdrop to a community or family gathering. The staff at this facility are known for their love of barbecues, so both residents and staff enjoy a community barbecue at least once a month, usually more over the summer months. Hardi Seven Hills is proud to offer an extra service unit at this facility. This unit includes larger single bedrooms and a lifestyle coordinator, who tailors activities and programs for individual residents. Our extra service unit also has a beautiful private dining area that opens up to an outdoor area, which is perfect for entertaining family and guests.
