OneCare's Rubicon Grove is a bright, open-plan facility offering comfortable residential accommodation in the delightful coastal community of Port Sorell, on Tasmania’s north coast.

Located just a few minutes from local shops, transport and services, the property overlooks the mountain ranges of Narawntapu National Park and is just a few minutes from Freer’s Beach.

Designed to reflect the colours and shapes of its seaside setting, the property has a choice of comfortable, modern rooms and excellent facilities, including a gym, community café, internet rooms and a hair and beauty salon.

Spend time with friends and family in our welcoming lounge and living areas or relax in the lovely gardens & landscaped courtyards - there are even fresh eggs from the resident chooks!

Our hospitality is a highlight, and you’ll enjoy a high-quality menu of tasty, nourishing meals each day.

Our Leisure & Lifestyle Team works tirelessly to provide a range of social opportunities for residents. From frequent outings and excursions to games and singalongs, there’s always something happening.

Rubicon is lucky to be supported by a large community of amazing volunteers and fundraising helpers.

In October 2019, the generous donations of our local community allowed us to purchase a three-wheeled trishaw. Now residents will often take a ride to feel the wind in their hair!

The Neighbourhood:

Rubicon Grove is an integral part of the close-knit Port Sorell community, and is a 15-minute drive from Devonport and Latrobe.

The facility is close to local shopping centres, the Port Sorell Medical Practice, and the local gymnasium, golf course, bowls club and men’s shed. Freer’s Beach is just five minutes away and Narawntapu National Park is an easy 30-minute drive from Port Sorell.

You’ll also have access to our dedicated residents’ bus service, which provides daily transport to and from Devonport, as well as local bus and taxi services.
