Reviews
The manager is often rude and shouts at residents, her loud voice in conversation and on the phone can be heard all over the village. Some of the staff are very nice. None of the limited facilities are used now, not even the community bus which took residents shopping once a week. The driver and maintenance man hasn't been replaced. The residents have to maintain the extensive garden themselves, which is however still quite beautiful. The bus has been sitting in the village car park unused for over two months and now the residents are being asked to pay an exorbitant fee to fee to have it run again. Think carefully before you commit your loved one to this place. The operator will only act on complaints or feedback if there are a high number of complaints, there is no respect for individual's opinions.
My mother entered Strathfield Gardens at the age of 89yrs she is now 97. Mum’s independence has gradually declined over the years (as to be expected) but the support, helpful advice and endless care has given mum the best chance to reach this very golden age. Strathfield Garden premises are clean and secure. The lunches and dinners are very nice and healthy and are carefully planned to cater for the maturing palette. The public areas are well cared for and inviting. My family and I have so much to be thankful for, but most of all it’s a relief to know mum resides in this lovely quiet community which is managed by a friendly and supportive team. I write this review with great detail because mum has been a satisfied resident for 8 years.
