Aged Care Royal Commission focus for NT and QLD hearings announced
The Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety has revealed the focus of the Northern Territory (NT) and Queensland (QLD) public hearings starting next week.
The public hearings will cover aspects of care in residential, home and flexible aged care programs.
This includes accessibility and availability; wound, medication and pain management; nutrition and hydration; continence care; mobility; social supports; veterans access to aged care; rural and regional issues for aged care service delivery; and quality of life for people receiving aged care.
Following the Western Australia hearings that finished last week, the first hearings in the Northern Territory run from July 8-12 in Darwin.
The second week of hearings for the Royal Commission runs from July 15 -17 and will be held in Cairns, QLD.
