Consultation sought on draft ACT Palliative Care Strategy 2007 – 2011

The new ACT Palliative Care Strategy aims to provide overarching direction for the delivery of palliative care services across ACT Health.

The Strategy has been written in the context of the national Palliative Care Standards developed by Palliative Care Australia and commits the ACT to deliver palliative care services in accordance with these standards.

As part of its commitment to the national palliative care standards, the ACT has also committed to develop a role delineation framework, which is contained in this Strategy.

Public comments have been called for with the consultation period closing on 12 April 2007.
