Develop digital workflow process with new app
A new app for the health and aged care sector allows the scalability of digitising more processes and will let users work offline in no/low network coverage areas.
The app, launched at the Health Informatics Society of Australia (HISA) conference HIC2015 in Brisbane this week (3-5 August), also has the ability to capture photographs within forms, signatures for authorisation, consent and geo-tagging.
Developed by enterprise mobility solutions provider Acresta, in partnership with IT solutions provider Surecom, the app was built on the Blink Mobility Platform.
This platform allows users to capture information at any time and anywhere by using a mobile device to connect to the existing system of an organisation.
Fadi Geha, chief executive officer (CEO) of Acresta is excited about the app and the new partnership.
“With the growing Health and Aged Care industry facing increasing financial pressures, we are delighted to provide a solution which will improve process efficiencies by capturing customer information on smart devices,” he says.
“This helps organisations ensure compliance while removing time-consuming double handling of paperwork and data entry,” according to Mr Geha.
Michael Parsons, General Manager of Surecom adds, “Partnerships such as this give Surecom the opportunity to work on projects that we may not otherwise have the opportunity to.
“Our expertise in the aged care sector in turn gave additional subject matter expertise to the project as we worked with Acresta on this app. We’re excited to be launching it to the public at HIC2015,” he says.
Aged care provider PresCare will be the first organisation in the Health and Aged Care sector to adopt the new technology.
