A University of Adelaide media release – which featured in DPS News yesterday – failed to mention the involvement of South Australian home and community care provider, Murray Mallee Aged Care Group, in a project investigating how technology can be used in remote and rural areas to improve the lives of older Australians.
The DPS News article, Surfin’ net helps elderly connect, has now been amended to read: “Funding for the project was awarded to the Murray Mallee Aged Care Group by the Department of Health and Ageing, who contracted the university to undertake the study.”
Murray Mallee Aged Care Group will today discuss the project, in-home care services as well as other topics pertaining to the care needs of older Australians, at the free seniors expo, Full Steam Ahead, at Tailem Bend Town Hall & Willow Precinct, from 10am to 3pm.
To find out more about the project, read DPS News next Tuesday for our interview with Murray Mallee Aged Care Group’s project manager, Bernadette Boag.
