The centre is offering a variety of allied health services, including physiotherapy, podiatry, occupational therapy, dietetics, and massage, and also has one on one exercise group classes available in the facility’s new gym.

Additionally, there is a hydrotherapy pool opening soon at the Wellness Centre, which will provide Aqua Aerobics and Aquatic Physiotherapy.

Chief Executive of ECH, Dr David Panter, says that ECH is excited to unveil the new Wellness Centre to their clients and the broader community.

“We are thrilled to officially open College Grove, which will offer a variety of advanced health and wellness services for clients, as well as a warm and welcoming environment with a team of professionals on hand to help people achieve their health and fitness goals,” says Dr Panter.

There is an ECH General Practitioner (GP) based on the site along with private practice geriatricians, who are able to help with dementia management and other cognitive impairments along with other medical concerns.

ECH hopes that the Centre will support older South Australians to remain living independently and confidently in their own homes.

Staff from ECH have been welcoming clients who have moved across to the new Centre from ECH Wellness Greenacres.

Dr Panter says, “Everything is up and running and completely operational. We love seeing so many familiar faces and welcoming new people to the site.”

In the future for College Grove, ECH hopes to include short stay accommodation and a range of services apartments designed for those who prefer treatment outside of traditional hospital setting,

SA Health has leased part of the Centre to utilise the space for additional beds within the wider hospital network to help during COVID-19. Once SA Health no longer requires the space, ECH have future plans for development on the site.
