Feros Care shares knowledge at Technology Bootcamp

Aged Care provider Feros Care will host a two-day industry conference to share it’s knowledge and experience on technological advances within the aged and community care sector.

The Smart Technologies Bootcamp will be held on 27 and 28 August at the Twin Towns Services Club in Tweed Heads and aims to introduce and improve Aged and Community Care providers’ use of smart technologies.

The conference will include practical workshops on virtual case management, m-health, social connectedness, falls and mobility, dementia technologies and telehealth.

Over the last few years Feros Care has developed several virtual technologies to support it’s clients to stay connected, participate in the community and access social programs and health professionals from their home.

Feros Care, believes collaboration is the key to providing innovative aged care models and is hosting the event to enable the transfer of information and to help build capability in the use of smart technologies of all industry stakeholders.

Jennene Buckley, Chief Executive Officer of Feros Care for the past 14 years said the bootcamp will showcase all the work Feros Care is undertaking in smart technologies and will share with the industry their lessons learned, giving many providers a flying start into the smart technology space.

“Feros Care is committed to using technology and making a positive contribution to the reshaping service provision in aged care and providing modern innovative options for healthy ageing, independent living and workforce modernisation,” says Ms Buckley.

“We expect aged and community providers from across Australia and internationally will join in on Feros Care’s first technology bootcamp. The workshops will allow industry professionals to discuss a wide variety of scenarios and how to apply new and existing tools to transform their current service and workforce models,” Ms Buckley says.

A networking event will be held on the evening of Wednesday 26 August. Workshops over the two days include:

  •  Practical guides to existing technologies
  • Learning to incorporate technology in service delivery
  • Understanding and learning from mistakes.
