How to ‘do business’ in offshore senior sector

Exporting can be a profitable way of expanding providers’ businesses and reducing the dependence on the local market. Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) research reportedly shows that, on average, exporting companies are more profitable than their non-exporting counterparts.

A free event, hosted by Austrade and designed to capture the growing demand for healthcare and senior living products and services in Asia, will be held in Australia next week.

Delegates will be briefed and updated on the healthcare and senior living industry, with particular reference to identifying international business opportunities in Malaysia, Hong Kong and India for Australian companies.

Delegates will also hear firsthand from Austrade international representatives from Malaysia, Hong Kong and India, as well as presentations by Australian firms who are already successfully exporting their products and services into the Asian healthcare and senior living sector. There will also be an open dialogue panel session of experiences with successful Australian exporters, the industry and government.

Among the attendees will be Australian businesses providing products and services to the healthcare and senior living sector in: infrastructure; services and operators; medical devices and consumables; technologies; research and development; and education and training.
