Importance of facilitating easier access to aged care acknowledged with ‘prestigious award’

Throughout the past 12 months and as part of the new approach, Breamar has been focused on in-depth engagement with the local community, to inform the public of the range of life-improving services offered by at and by the facility – services such as lifestyle support and enrichment, memory support and dementia care services.

The award, which was presented to the organisation in Sydney on 10 October as part of the Australian Marketing Institute Awards, acknowledges the “heightened awareness” of the life-changing aged care services offered at the not-for-profit provider’s Braemar Village facility over those 12 months.

Braemar’s Chief Executive Wayne Belcher says the organisation is proud to be acknowledged by the Australian Marketing Institute, as it highlights the importance of clear and engaging communication in facilitating easier access to aged care services.

“Receiving national recognition is very exciting for our entire team as it’s an acknowledgment of the vital and life-improving work being carried out at Braemar,” he says.

“We are undertaking a number of new projects which reflect Braemar’s commitment to high quality care and friendship.

“This includes the opening of a new memory support service at Braemar Village in Willagee to support people living with dementia.

“We remain committed to informing our community about Breamar’s unique care and friendship approach.”

He adds that the hard work, passion and expertise of everyone within the organisation who has been involved with growing awareness of Braemar Village is “very much deserving of recognition”, and says it showcases the team approach to offering high quality aged care for Perth’s seniors.
