A new survey, conducted by the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency, aims to identify the educational needs and preferences of residential aged and home care providers and use the findings to improve education product development over the next two years.
The research begins with an online survey targeting home care and residential care providers.
The Australian Aged Care Quality Agency has contracted Lorraine Poulos and Associates to undertake an industry needs analysis to assist in planning for future education and training programs for both the residential aged care and home care sectors across Australia.
The survey asks respondents to rate the priority for topics such as understanding accreditation; developing systems and processes for providing quality care and services; identifying and managing risk; privacy and dignity; and providing care and service to care recipients living with dementia, as well as those of a culturally and linguistically diverse background.
Responses will be anonymous and do not require providers to reveal any personal details or information unless they would like to.
The survey has 25 questions and should take about 20 to 25 minutes to complete.
Following the survey, the Agency will follow up with some targeted consultations to ensure it has the broadest representation as possible.
The Australian Aged Care Quality Agency survey is open until Tuesday 2 December and is available here. If you have any questions about the survey, contact Lorraine Poulos via email on lorraine@lorrainepoulos.com.au or mobile on 0425 214 792.
