New aged care service for Bundanoon in NSW

High-quality residential aged care will be available to more people in the Bundanoon area on NSW’s southern highlands, with the completion of Warrigal Care’s new 90-bed home later this year, the Minister for Ageing, Justine Elliot, said at the official opening of stage one of the project.

“The new centre will double the number of places available at Warrigal Care Bundanoon in a more modern environment. Stage one of the new development demonstrates Warrigal Care’s commitment to Bundanoon’s future needs and services,” she said.

Mrs Elliot said the Australian Government had provided a recurrent allocation of more than $2 million to Warrigal Care Bundanoon in 2006-07, funding 42 high-care places and three low-care dementia-specific places.

Stage two of the project will see the old facility demolished and new accommodation built.
