New CEO of WA Baptistcare

The new chief executive officer (CEO), of Baptistcare in Western Australia, comes to the position with a wealth of experience in the not-for-profit sector, and a desire to listen.

Dr Lucy Morris spent the past four years as CEO of the Joondalup based charity, Community Vision, and has held senior positions in not-for-profit organisations since migrating from the UK to Australia in 1991.

She has a PhD on leadership, spirituality, ethics and values in non-government organisations, from Curtin University of Technology.

Dr Morris is interested in the way not-for-profit organisations understand their role and conduct themselves, and wants  to work with other aged care providers for ways to overcome the lack of available skilled workers in WA.

Dr Morris replaces Ken Ridge, who resigned earlier this year after working for 18 years as CEO of Baptistcare.
