New heart facility will help save lives
A $2.8million upgrade to cardiac facilities at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth has been announced by the WA Government.
The upgrade includes the purchase of a new $1.3million Flat Plate Machine and construction of a new Cardiac Catheter Laboratory.
The new Flat Plate machine, the main piece of equipment used for emergency cardiac patients, could take defined images of the artery and aorta during heart attacks.
