NSW rural clinical workshops – Care of People with Dementia

The Eastern Australia Dementia Training and Study Centre is holding the following two clinical workshops in rural areas of NSW.

  • Workshop 1: A practical approach to using the feelings of people with dementia to guide their care.
This session will be of interest to all staff and managers, residential and community, who have direct contact with people with dementia.
  • Workshop 2: Environmental design and modification: what works for people with dementia.
This session will be of interest to those, who wish to understand the influence of the physical environment on the lives of people with dementia in residential care, and assist them in identifying changes that might improve care.

Both workshops will be held on 3 November 2008 in Griffith, and again on 8 December 2008 in Orange.
