NSW volunteers with poor feet wanted to test new innersole

People with foot pain, diabetes and poor circulation to their feet are being sought to help conduct a study into the effect of custom-made shoe-innersoles (orthoses).

Sixty more participants are needed to contribute to this important project funded by Diabetes Australia.

Experienced podiatrists are conducting the research trial at the Podiatry Department of Sydney’s Westmead Hospital.

The study aims to gather a cross-section of the community from right across Sydney.

Custom-made shoe-innersoles and sports shoes for participants are provided free, and any individual with diabetes, poor leg circulation and foot pain are invited to take part.

For more information about the study, or to register as a participant, please contact clinical research coordinator Caleb Wegener on (02) 9845 6918 or email caleb.wegener@swahs.health.nsw.gov.au
