The choir, known as The Devotionals, is made up of staff members from residential aged care facility BaptistCare Griffith, which comes together regularly to perform their heartfelt songs for elderly residents.

Proceeds from the sale of their album titled ‘My Assurance – He Lives In Me’ will support Sydney’s homeless community at BaptistCare HopeStreet, based in Woolloomooloo.

BaptistCare HopeStreet works with those who are living with homelessness, addiction, mental health and legal issues.

With more than 105,000 people homeless across Australia on any given night, songwriter and creative director for The Devotionals, John Bonnici, encourages people to download the album and support those in need this Christmas.

“Our prayer this Christmas is that you will join us in extending hope to those less fortunate than ourselves by purchasing a copy of the album.

“People experiencing homelessness is one of our nation’s biggest issues and it’s a time for us as individuals and as communities to stand up and help make a difference,” he says.

“BaptistCare HopeStreet and the important programs it provides was something we all felt passionate about so we chose to come together to lend our voices to those who all too often go unheard,” says Mr Bonnici.

The album features eight original songs, each written and performed by the choir, and includes the choir’s first single ‘He Lives In Me' (Joshua's Song). It is available to download now for $16.99 from iTunes.
