Palliative care scholarships

Victorian medical, nursing and allied health professionals, who have already completed an undergraduate course of study, are invited to apply for a scholarship to undertake an approved postgraduate course in palliative care.

Victorian medical, nursing and allied health professionals, who have already completed an undergraduate course of study, are invited to apply for a scholarship to undertake an approved postgraduate course in palliative care.

The Victorian Department Palliative Care, Continuing Care Unit is funding these scholarships to assist health professionals to develop their capacity to provide palliative care.

Applicants must reside in Victoria and be  working or actively seeking employment in specialist palliative care, primary care, aged care or in other health services where enhanced expertise in palliative care would be beneficial.

Maximum funding of up to $3,500 is available per scholarship ($4,500 for health professionals working in rural areas) is available to successful applicants.

Palliative Care Victoria is administering the scholarship program on behalf of the Department of Health. All applications will be assessed by an independent selection panel.

All applications must be type-written and submitted via email, along with scanned copies of relevant documents.

Applications must be received by 5pm Monday, 26 November 2012. Late applications will not be considered. Applicants may know the outcome of their scholarship application in the week commencing 17 December 2012.
