Tricare opens new state of the art residence

A new aged care home will open its doors in Sunnybank in Queensland this week with the official opening of TriCare Sunnybank Hills Aged Care Residence.

The purpose built, 100 bed facility will open on 14 April and should provide residents with the latest in quality care in a modern environment.

The facility will offer permanent residential care, short term respite, dementia care and palliative care and includes the latest technology.

Facility Manager Paul MacDonald says: “Body protection circuitry and movement monitoring systems including mattress and floor sensor mats, personal call pendants and breath or pressure activated call systems are designed to improve patient safety.

“Involvement of residents and families in care planning is supported by the highly experienced care team and accredited allied health professionals such as podiatry, physiotherapy, speech pathology and occupational therapy.”
