UnitingCare Ageing Federal Election issues campaign

UnitingCare Ageing NSW ACT is on a campaign to highlight aged care issues in the weeks before the Federal Election on Saturday 24 November 2007.

“This is a great opportunity to speak out and take action and give a voice to older people in our community. Aged care affects us all,” said director, Gillian McFee.

“Known as ‘who cares anyway!’, this campaign is designed to inspire people to take action, stimulate discussion and debate throughout the community and to put pressure on the political parties to include aged care in their policy debates and decisions.”

The first part of this campaign is the launch of our issues paper – Aged Care and Older People 2007 Federal Election Issues Paper. Please take the time to read this paper and consider these issues.

The second part of our campaign is using online media. You can post comments on our ‘who cares anyway!’ blog page about any aged care issues that are important to you. You can also share any stories promoting the health and well-being of older people on our ‘Older and Bolder’ facebook group, or just join and show your support.
