Watermark joins BaptistCare
Australian aged and community care organisation, BaptistCare, has announced its recent acquisition of the Wagga Wagga based Watermark retirement living residences.
Watermark, located on Church Street in Wagga Wagga, joined BaptistCare in late December last year, and is the organisation's ninth retirement living site in New South Wales.
The acquisition of Watermark continues BaptistCare's approach to providing an integrated range of services, offering independence and choice for people living in the Wagga Wagga community and Riverina region.
BaptistCare already has a solid care footpring in Wagga Wagga, offering residential aged care (BaptistCare Caloola Centre), respite care (BaptistCare Towner House) and home services across the region.
Mike Furner, BaptistCare general manager housing and retirement living, says Watermark offers a vibrant, modern lifestyle with a connection to the heritage of Wagga Wagga and a “great community spirit”.
“By expanding our services in Wagga Wagga, BaptistCare is now able to provide a full suite of accommodation and care services to the local community, allowing people to choose the care they need at a time that suits their lifestyle,” Mr Furner says.
Across NSW and the ACT, BaptistCare provides aged care and community services to more than 15,000 Australians across wider NSW and the ACT.
Watermark was established in 2006, with a second and substantial stage built in 2008, and the final stage completed in late 2013.
The village provides one, two, three and four bedroom apartments that feature open plan living and comfort and security for residents.
BaptistCare is a not for profit Christian based care organisation that has been serving the aged and people living with disadvantage for 70 years. The organisation supports thousands of people across NSW and the ACT through more than 160 facilities and programs.
