Independent retirement living is the perfect way to continue living in your own home, but within a supportive community that removes the burdens of maintaining a large property, while bringing peace of mind.
Uniting AgeWell offers Independent Living Units and Community and Social Housing Units for singles and couples in Tasmania.
Our caring communities enable you to join daily social activities, excursions and shopping trips, or remain connected to family, friends and the activities you love most. How much you get involved in community life is entirely up to you.

For Independent Living Units, an entry contribution is required. This contribution is held in trust for the resident during their stay. It is refunded when they leave, with a small amount retained by the facility.
These Units also charge a daily service fee which covers a range of services.
Community and Social Housing options charge a weekly rent based on the resident’s income, and require a rental bond.
Uniting AgeWell maintains the buildings and communal gardens of all its independent living options on behalf of residents.
No referral is required for Uniting AgeWell’s Independent, Community or Social Housing units.
A Uniting AgeWell team member is happy to meet with you to discuss your circumstances and housing requirements, and can arrange an inspection of the appropriate units in your area.
We can also provide application forms, fees, eligibility requirements and site flyers.
